What is silicosis?
Silicosis is a disease that causes permanent lung damage, which can sometimes be fatal. It is caused by inhaling silica dust, which is the most abundant mineral on the planet. This mineral is naturally present in rocks, sand, quartz, and marble, and artificially in new construction products, especially in kitchens and bathrooms. Artificial silica is much more dangerous than natural silica.
